235/45R18 Cooper Discoverer True North Winter Tire (98H)
The Discoverer True North Winter Tire is designed for the daily driver who routinely commutes via the highway in slush and icy conditions. Having Cooper’s Weather-Master certification also means that, along with the ability to grip the road in less than ideal conditions, the Discoverer True North tire also offers a smooth and quiet ride. The Cooper Discoverer True North’s primary feature is a pliable tread compound that retains its flexibility, even as the mercury falls into freezing temperatures. The asymmetrical tread design of the Discoverer True North Winter Tire features an outboard tread with a saw-tooth-shaped groove to trap ice, while the wider inboard tread offers more rubber on the road to grip in icy conditions, all divided by a wide circumferential groove to aid in slush and water evacuation. Cooper’s own experienced scientists sought out the feedback of winter driving customers to craft the Discoverer True North with the features they wanted, resulting in a winter tire with touring tire responsiveness and handling.
