Titan Tire corporation was founded in 1993 by Maurice M. Taylor Jr., following Titan Wheel's acquisition of Dyneer Corporation, a manufacturer of a variety of off-road tires, making the Titan Tire Corporation the third largest manufacturer of off-road tires in North America. Titan Tire Corporation continued to grow when, in 1994, they purchased the Pirelli Armstrong Tire Corporation.

Following the purchase of the assets from Fidelity Tire upon that company's bankruptcy Titan Tire Corporation began to manufacture golf cart, ATV, and lawn tractor tires. In 2005 Titan purchased Goodyear's agricultural tire business and continues to manufacture Goodyear farm tires under a license from that company. Titan then saw further expansion with the subsequent purchases of Continental AG's off-the-road (OTR) tire assets, and the assets from Denman Tire in 2010 when that company filed for bankruptcy.

Titan has also manufactured tires for Caterpillar under the Caterpillar brand name since 1999. Titan Tire Corporation's OEM customers include John Deere, AGCO, Case Construction, Caterpillar, Kubota, and New Holland.
