Manufacturer’s Warranties
Merchandise covered by a manufacturer’s warranty is sold with the warranty by the manufacturer extended to the purchaser. We will be happy to help should a warranty problem arise. Beyond the standard manufacturer’s warranties, there are no warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitment for any particular purpose.

Multiple Product Orders
For a multiple product order, we will make every attempt to ship all products contained in the order at the same time. Products that are unavailable at the time of shipping will be shipped as they become available, unless you inform us otherwise. You will only be charged for products contained in a given shipment, plus any applicable shipping charges. You will only be charged for shipping at the rate quoted to you on your purchase receipt. The entirety of this shipping charge may be applied to the first product(s) shipped on a multiple shipment order.

Order Acceptance Policy
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Pete's Tire Barns reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.

Out-of-Stock Products
We will ship your product as it becomes available. Usually, products ship the same day if ordered by Noon , or by the next business day if your order is received after this time and for orders received on Saturday, Sunday or any major holiday. However, there may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock which will delay fulfilling your order. We will keep you informed of any products that you have ordered that are out-of-stock and unavailable for immediate shipment.

Payment Methods
Pete's Tire Barns accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX and Paypal for payments in our online tire store.

You can purchase tires with Paypal. You can purchase wheels with Paypal. You can also purchase tires with a major credit card including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Pete's Tire Barns make every effort to make it easy and convenient to purchase tires and tire accessories from our online tire store. Our goal is to make your next purchase as easy and efficient as possible. In addition to the payment options listed about, we also accept wire transfers.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Canadian Orders
Please be advised that all orders shipping to Canada are subject to any customs duties or fees required by the Country. Our shipping costs do not include these fees. Orders cannot be cancelled once they have shipped.  Returns are subject to any shipping costs and fees associated with returning the order to us. There will also be a 15% restock fee.

Exporting

Pete's Tire Barns does not export tires. Invoices will only be made out to companies with a verified US Address and that company will be listed as the purchaser on record. Invoices will include the following:

  • Date of Purchase
  • Item/Part Number
  • Quantity Ordered
  • Total Price in USD.

If a freight forwarding service or hand-carrying is used to ship items internationally, the following applies:

·       Pete’s Tire Barns won't be responsible for damage, defect, material difference, or loss that occurs to goods after they're delivered to you or a freight forwarder. This means that Pete’s Tire Barns isn't able to provide a replacement or a refund for any shipment taken outside of the U.S. by hand-carrying or using a freight forwarding service. 
·       If ordering from Pete’s Tire Barns to deliver to a U.S shipping address, you should refuse the delivery of these goods if they arrive damaged and instruct freight forwarders to do the same.
·       Pete’s Tire Barns won’t be responsible for any further charges that might incur once the shipment arrives at your US location, including storage fees or any fees that result from the shipment be refused at the time of delivery.
·       If you (or a freight forwarder you so designate) have a U.S. address, purchase goods from Pete’s Tire Barns to be shipped to a U.S. location, and then subsequently export these goods, you or the designated freight forwarder are considered the exporter of these goods.
·      You or the designated freight forwarder are solely responsible for compliance with all export and import regulations, including all U.S. export regulations and the import regulations of the destination country.
·      Pete’s Tire Barns must not be listed on any export documentation (e.g., export declarations, invoices, packing lists, air waybills, etc.). It is your responsibility to ensure the freight forwarder's most up-to-date U.S. address is used.

Returns are not accepted for tires being sold for export. Pete’s Tire Barns won’t be responsible for any further charges that might incur once the shipment arrives at your US location, including storage fees or any fees that result from the shipment be refused at the time of delivery. If a shipment is refused and returned to us, it will be your responsibility to arrange for the shipment to be picked up at our warehouse.

The shipment will not be released until any return charges Pete’s Tire may have incurred are paid in full. The carrier picking up the shipment must get express written permission from Pete’s Tire Barns and sign this policy prior to us releasing the shipment.

Return Policy

Pete’s Tire Barns, Inc. will accept returns or exchanges initiated within 10 days of delivery. Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Restocking fee will be waived for exchanges. You must call Pete’s Tire Barns, Inc. Customer Service at 978-633-3763 for Return Approval and an RMA (Return Authorization Number) All merchandise must be in brand-new condition and meet the following criteria:

Tires must not have been driven on

Wheels must not have been mounted

General:

You must call for return approval and a return authorization number. This number must be written on the Package/Label along with the name the merchandise was purchased under. All merchandise must be properly packaged. Make sure merchandise is fully insured for the proper value.

Tires: Each tire must be labeled with the Pete’s Tire Barns, Inc. address as well as your own address. Insure each package for proper value. Securely attach the packing slip with the Return Authorization Number.

Wheels: The wheels must be repackaged in the same fashion as when they were originally received. Secure center cap and lug nuts/ bolts in separate bags and tape securely to inside of wheel. Wheel must be secured and well protected in the box. Insure each package for proper value. Securely attach the packing slip with the Return Authorization Number.

Wheel and Tire Packages: The tire/wheel packages must be repackaged in the same fashion as when they were originally received. Insure each package for proper value. Securely attach the packing slip with the Return Authorization Number.

Return for Refund Calculations: Regularly Stocked Items: Credit less a 15% Restocking Fee and outbound freight/shipping costs. Return cost will be at the expense of the customer. Tires must not have been driven on. Special order items are non-refundable.

Refunds on orders with “Free Shipping”: Customer will receive credit less a 15% Restocking Fee and actual cost incurred by Pete’s Tire Barns for outbound freight/shipping charges. Return shipping costs will be at the expense of the customer. Tires must not have been driven on. Special order items are non-refundable.

Full credit will be issued if any of the following conditions are met:


Incorrect merchandise is shipped.

Replacement merchandise will be sent and a call tag issued if any of the following conditions are met:


Merchandise is damaged in shipping.

Merchandise is defective.

Shipping and Damage Claims:

Please inspect your shipment immediately upon receiving. If your shipment has arrived damaged, please contact Pete’s Tire Barns, Inc. Customer Service at 978-633-3763 within 5 days for a return and reshipment. The merchandise must be completely repackaged using original materials for inspection by the freight company.

Shipping Policy
Pete's Tire Barns, Inc. processes orders Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays. Our preferred shipping partner is UPS and we offer regular ground service, 3-day delivery, 2-day delivery and overnight delivery as well as in-store pickup. Freight shipping is available on large orders as some items are too large or too heavy to ship via UPS.
Items may ship separately based on availability. Special order items may ship direct from the manufacturer to ensure prompt delivery.

Items returned to shipper due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses will be charged for shipping fees.

Taxes
Pete's Tire Barns shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to Massachusetts, Connecticut,Rhode Island,Vermont and New York. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or other taxes.

What is FET?
FET is an acronym for federal excise tax. It refers to the tax imposed by the federal government on tires used on the road with a maximum load capacity greater then 3500 pounds. Generally this applies to medium truck tires and heavy duty trailer tires.

Do I pay FET on farm and forestry tires?
No, FET is only charged on tires that are used on the road. They do not apply to farm, forestry, OTR, lawn tractor or ATV tires. You also do not pay FET on car and light truck tires as long as their carrying capacity is not greater then 3500 pounds.

What is a taxable tire?
The IRS defines a taxable tire as any tire used on highway vehicles made partially or fully of rubber and marked for highway use. A bias ply tire is defined as a pneumatic tire on which the ply cords that extend to the beads are laid at alternate angles substantially less than 90 degrees to the centerline of the tread. A super single tire is defined as a tire greater than 13 inches in cross section width designed to replace two tires in a dual fitment, but does not include any tire designed for steering

Who collects the FET?
The retailer of the tires is responsible for collecting the FET from the end user of the tires.

How is FET calculated on truck tires?
The FET is calculated based on how much weight the tire can carry. For every 10lbs of carrying capacity over 3500 pounds a tax of $0.945 is charged. ($0.4725 for bias ply tires and super single tires)


Typographical Errors
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Pete's Tire Barns shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Pete's Tire Barns shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Pete's Tire Barns shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price
