Michelin is set to debut a new option for today’s farmers with the CrossGrip tire, a radial multipurpose tire designed to work in all four seasons.
The Michelin CrossGrip will be available beginning in August in a variety of sizes to fit on tractors, telehandlers, backhoes, and loaders, and will be suitable for everything from warm sunny days on the farm, to roadside mowing, to snow removal in the colder seasons.
The Michelin CrossGrip tire is made with a special rubber compound that makes it capable of carrying heavy loads no matter the weather thanks to asymmetrical lateral blocks that make short starts and stops in the winter season, but also optimized to minimize plant damage during growing season. The Michelin CrossGrip also features high puncture resistance and can be studded for driving on ice.
The Michelin CrossGrip will be available in 250/80R16, 400/80R24 (16.0R24), 440/80R24 (16.9R24) and 440/80R28 (16.9R28) sizes with additional sizes coming in 2019 and 2020.
