I recently had the opportunity to attend a Nokian training on their lines of all season and winter weather tires. One of the subjects of the training was the increasing number of small commercial vehicles being purchased in the United States. One big change on these vehicles is that they are coming equipped with special tires that feature a "C" classification. This "C" does not stand for a six ply tire, but actually used to indicate a cargo or commercial tire. These tires are specially designed to handle the needs of these smaller commercial class vehicles. Read our article about these modern cargo van tires for more detailed information.
Here is a chart of some of the most common vehicles that require a "C" type tire.
